Interesting facts
Putting the old front back. West German towns spent the 1950s and 60s modernising their centres and the 1970s and 80s regretting it. Restoring a shopfront to its 1905 appearance in 1986 is that second mood exactly - and it needed the 1905 photograph on page 2 to be possible at all.
