Even though it was March there was a little bit of snow around and the mountains were absolutely awesome. It was spring time and the country was quite beautiful. It was so close to Switzerland, just beautiful. I recall there still being a chill in the mountain air.

Prost, and the eye contact. German toasting custom requires you to look the other person in the eye as glasses meet. Doing it absent-mindedly is noticed. It is the sort of thing a visiting relative learns in the first hour.
