WEDDINGS
While we were in Beaufort we had a couple of weddings in the family. I remember we supplied all the drinks for Judy and John when they had their engagement party. We took down all the grog for the party as we had the licensed grocery. On their wedding day, I virtually had to carry Judy down the aisle as she was that nervous! That took place at a nice place in Croydon.
It was a terribly hot day when Colan and Karen got married. I'll never forget that! It was up in Daylesford on an extremely hot January day. That must have been about 1988. Our first grandchild was born while we were in Beaufort; Cheryl's son, Bradley.

Interesting facts
Who Uncle Alf is. Alfons was Willi's younger brother, who followed him out of Villingen about 1930 and settled near Brisbane instead of Melbourne. The Queensland Distels descend from him, and photographs with both branches in them are rare.
