TRIP TO IRELAND
I did some research in Ireland for my wife's family. Pat's mother was Irish and her father was English. We went to Wexford, Ireland and went to all of the churches there. They gave us access and even helped us. Old church records weren't available in Ireland; it comes back again to the burning of the records. This is all very unfortunate.

Interesting facts
Two families were being traced at once. The German line was Derek's; the Irish line was Pat's. He worked on both on the same trips, which is why a book about a Villingen butcher's family contains a chapter set in County Wexford, and why this archive holds her family as well as his.
